With the following data protection declaration, we inform our users about the type and scope of the data used. It is important to us to describe the purpose of the processing to the user and to show how important data protection is to us.
In principle, use of the website is possible without personal data. However, some functions can only provide meaningful results with personal data. What personal data is and how we handle it is described in detail below.
Liability for contents
We have created the contents of our pages with the greatest care. However, we cannot assume any liability for the correctness, completeness and topicality of the contents. As a service provider, we are responsible for our own content on these pages in accordance with § 7 Section 1 of the German Telemedia Act (TMG). According to §§ 8 to 10 TMG, however, we are not obliged as service providers to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information or to investigate circumstances that indicate illegal activity. Cookies enable the system to recognize which page views belong to the same athlete and can therefore only provide cross-page functions.

Automatic deletion
The respective legal retention period is relevant for the storage of personal data. At the end of this period, the relevant data will be routinely deleted, provided that it is no longer required to create the training plan.
3.) Which data are processed
pacestarter is a website for training control and only processes information for this purpose. The user of the website has to provide some information for a meaningful training plan. pacestarter only uses the most important information (data minimization). Only with your registration/logon these data are stored in the database.
In the following, the information is briefly listed and for what purpose it is collected:
User data (e.g. name, email address,..)
The user data is necessary for the registration and security of the user account. This is the only way we can ensure secure access to your user data.
Training data (e.g. experience, best times, competitions, training camps,...)
Only with this information we can create an individual training plan for you. pacestarter only collects information needed for training planning.
Usage data (metadata, communication data, browser data, IP address, device information,...)
The web server and the content management system use this information for different log files to ensure the security of the entire system and to document it. The purpose is to ensure the safety of the entire application. In order to guarantee data protection and IT security with our web host, we have completed an order data processing (AV) according to the new basic data protection regulation (DS-GVO).
None of this data will be published anywhere or passed on to third parties!
4.) State of the art
pacestarter uses state-of-the-art technical and organisational measures for its website. We use various sources of information such as www.owasp.org, www.bsi.bund.de, www.php.net
All information you enter on pacestarter forms is transmitted encrypted using the Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS). The use of HTTPS can be quickly recognized in the browser at two points. In the address bar is "https://" at the beginning of the web address and most modern browsers display an additional symbol (lock).
We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. communication by e-mail) can have security gaps. A complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
5.) Persons under 16 years (children)
pacestarter is not intended for persons under 16 years of age. Persons under 16 years of age should not enter any personal data on pacestarter. If the pacestarter team learns that we have personal information from a child under the age of 16, we will delete the information.
Contact form
If you send us enquiries using the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact data you provided there, will be stored for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

The provider of our pages and our content management system automatically collects and stores the following information, which may be transmitted automatically by your browser:

The data sent by us and linked to cookies, user-identifiers (e.g. User-IDs) or advertising-identifiers are automatically deleted after 14 months. Data whose retention period has been reached is automatically deleted once a month.
Rights of the Persons affected
